School Psychologist - Douglas ESD Douglas ESD is seeking qualified applicants for the position of School Psychologist for the 2024-25 school year. 190 days per year, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. This position serves the schools of Douglas County; school location may be subject to change. STARTING SALARY: $53,629 - $83,348 per year (Depending on relevant verifiable experience and degree) TO APPLY: Begin the application process here: https://www.applitrack.com/douglasesd/onlineapp/JobPostings/view.asp?FromAdmin=true&AppliTrackJobId=2788JOB SUMMARY:Provides psycho-educational evaluations, instructional recommendations, and behavioral management intervention for students referred to the ESD Psychological and Behavioral Services Department which is funded by the Consortium for Diagnostic Evaluation and Consultation grant.DUTIES:This is not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. Full job description is attached in Applicant Tracking. Douglas ESD uses the most technologically advanced assessments (Q interactive). Achievement testing is not required.Provides comprehensive psychological evaluations of students utilizing an appropriate battery of assessment instruments.Provides an in-depth written evaluation report for all students evaluated.Makes recommendations for educational planning and strategy development.Acts as resource for teachers of special needs students, for materials, equipment, and/or services from other agencies.Participates as a member of a team (IEP, IFSP, Placement, Eligibility, MDT, etc.) and assumes appropriate roles: leads, follows, and supports others in a productive manner.Assesses the effectiveness, appropriateness, and usefulness of strategies and practices used with students.Serves as a resource to district personnel regarding special education laws, rules, policies, procedures, and trends.Complete required reports and other paperwork in a timely and acceptable manner.Acts as liaison between the ESD, constituent districts, social agencies, and families as appropriateAssist with the development and implementation of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) and/or Individual Education Plans (IEP).Provide individual, group or consultative services for referred children whose diagnosed needs would be addressed through behavioral interventions.Cooperate with and develop collaborative relationships with personnel of mental health, community health, and other state and local agencies serving and supporting children with special needs. Prepare forms as requested by outside agenciesAbility to work a flexible schedule and travel to and from school locations in the Douglas ESD service area and may be required to travel on overnight assignmentsQUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree plus credentials in school psychology or related fieldOregon School Psychologist certificationHave a working knowledge and understanding of RTI and PBIS for implementation in the school districts that utilize these programs.
